Ketchum Pleon Wins Three EMEA SABRE Awards

At last night’s EMEA SABRE Awards ceremony in London, Ketchum and Ketchum Pleon took home three awards for work with two clients and one internal initiative, originating in the firm’s offices in Milan, Munich and Düsseldorf, as well as the agency’s OneVoice partnership with Fleishman-Hillard.

The SABRE Awards is one of the most prestigious international public relations contests. Presented by The Holmes Group annually, the EMEA SABREs serve to recognize Superior Achievement in Branding and Reputation in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This wins build upon the agency’s recent awards momentum, including eight North American SABREs won earlier this month.

Ketchum takes home eight Sabre Awards

New York, May 12, 2010 – Ketchum, a leading global public relations firm, won more North American SABRE Awards than any other agency at last night’s award ceremony, hosted annually in New York by the Holmes Group. Ketchum and its clients took home four gold SABREs and three silver SABREs, while Ketchum’s word-of-mouth-marketing firm, Zócalo Group, received an iron SABRE. Also at the event, Ketchum was honored as the Holmes Group’s Large PR Agency of the Year.

Ketchum Named Large Agency of the Year

After a year in which the revenues of the global public relations industry declined by more than 10 percent, it is worth remembering that at the end of the day, building a great PR agency is largely about doing great work. And over the past 12 months, no agency did more great work than Ketchum, which is why the Omnicom-owned firm is our Large Agency of the Year for 2009.

Omnicom has decided not to allow its various subsidiaries to reveal information about their billings, but the holding company saw its PR revenues decline by 15 percent in 2009, and there’s no reason to believe that Ketchum was immune to the forces that battered the global marketing and communications services business. But what is clear is that despite difficult economic circumstances, the firm continued to produce work of the highest caliber for a wide range of clients in a wide range of industries.

25 Magneet-nominaties bij het 25-jarig SJP jubileum.

De Stichting Jaarprijzen Personeelscommunicatie (SJP) heeft 25 inzendingen voor de Magneet 2009 genomineerd. Dan zijn er minder dan het voorgaande jaar, wat niet zo heel vreemd is als je kijkt naar de arbeidsmarkt . Nieuw is dit jaar de categorie Effectiviteit, hier werden drie nominaties toegekend: TNT Post (TMP Worldwide), Ministerie van Defensie (de PersoneelZaak) en UMC Utrecht (Steam). Inzendingen voor de categorie ‘Geïntegreerde campagnes’ lijken verhuisd te zijn naar deze categorie (van 22 naar 9).
